| I was a crew member and an ET for the Trieste II from Oct. 1979 to Late 1981 when she was scheduled for retirement. I worked off the USS Point Loma AGDS-2 which was her mother ship at the time. The USS Point Loma was the converted USS Point Barrow which was used earlier in her career to haul Saturn Rocket Boosters around the Horne. I have some pretty good pictures of the T-II if you are interested Dated around May 1980 in the Pacific, I have pictures of her trailing behind the Pt. Loma and in the Well Dock.
